Sexuality in General Counselling Practice
March 18, 2017 - 09:30 / 16:30
Jury's Inn, Scotswood Rd, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 4AD
Our Sex and Sexuality in General Counselling Practice training is designed for qualified counsellors, student counsellors and allied professionals who would like to feel more comfortable discussing and exploring the subject of sex and sexuality with their clients. Sex and sexuality is an extremely important part of our human experience, yet it can often be overlooked when we are working therapeutically with clients. Covering topics such as common sexual problems and how to address them, sexuality and fluidity and sexual attitudes (including societies and our own) we offer an introduction to this diverse and often complex subject, helping practitioners to further understand themselves and their clients.
Our one day course is delivered by John Dixon and Lisa Etherson, both qualified psychosexual counsellors who work within the NHS and private practice who have extensive experience of working with individuals and couples who are experiencing sexual difficulties. Please note that lunch is included.
